- Manchester United Have Won the Most Titles
Manchester United have won 13 titles, which is the most compared to all the other 49 clubs that have participated in the league since it was founded back in 1992. Interestingly, only five other clubs have won the title, including Leicester City, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Blackburn Rovers. The team has also won 21 Football Association Community Shields, as well as becoming the first team from Britain to win the Intercontinental Cup back in 1999.
- Alan Shearer is the All-Time Highest Goal Scorer
Alan Shearer made a name for himself in the history of the Premier League after scoring a total of 238 goals during his 20 years Premier League career, which hasn’t been broken ever since he retired. During his days with Newcastle, Blackburn Rovers and Southampton, Shearer also scored 11 hat-tricks, which is the Premier League record, as well as having the most penalty goals standing at 58.
- Only Five Players Have Scored More Than Five Goals in a Game
Since the Premier League was founded, only five players have scored five or more goals in a single EPL game. These are Sergio Aguero, Jermain Defoe, Alan Shearer, Dimitar Berbatov, and Andy Cole, who join the list of 22 players who have scored four goals in a single Premier League game.
